Another great product from Zojirushi. The build quality is fantastic, and it’s extremely easy to use. The only negative is that it’s pricey for its capacity, but I think it’s the best looking dispenser that they offer. Bear in mind that the instructions and buttons are all in Japanese, but it’s so simple that you don’t really need to read any of it.

This is the best little boiler! I have had the standard gray zojirushi 4 liter boiler for years, I believe 10 to be exact. We just remodeled our kitchen and I wanted a white one. Found this and researched it a bunch. I live in the US so I was worried about the power difference. One guy on Amazon said it worked fine but his review is only one day after he got it. So I have waited about a month to review. It’s totally fine so far. I believe the computer inside will not let it overheat and the pump motor would be the only part that is overclocking due to the 10 volt difference in our power. The motor seems to be totally fine and sounds exactly the same as my old unit so I have no concerns at all with the long term use of the unit.
They make awesome well built products. I have a ten year old nero fuzzy rice maker and my old boiler was perfectly working and perfectly fine. I just wanted a more modern look. Sad they are not making this unit bigger and for their English client base yet.
As far as the size, it’s way way smaller but acts quite differently than my old unit. It’s more of a hybrid boiler in my opinion. My old unit would take forever to boil and reach temp 5-10 minutes probably, so you had to make sure to refill before the morning coffee rush. This unit seems to boil in about 1-2 minutes, so if your low on water it’s such a little wait you can just fill and make your coffee/tea moments later like those fast boiling kettles. Yet then you have another few cups ready just like the other zojirushi boiler machines. I think I like the fast boiling better and the smaller footprint on the counter over my older larger unit. All in all I think it’s a superb product and am thrilled I took a chance on it and hope other people in America get some reviews on it so it’s not such a scary choice to buy.
I actually tried to buy it first on eBay from Japan and the seller would not send it to me saying the power would not work and that I had to buy a large power converter first.

Oh and because I have used the other boilers for years the Japanese only text does not bother me or my wife a bit because all the buttons are in the same place and function the same: unlock, dispense, and three temperature options.

I've been using those old school Zojirushi water boiler for decades and as soon as I spot this new model, I have to get it. Yes it's much smaller comparing to the old 4L boiler but it's very sleek and attractive and I don't mind to boil water everyday. It compliments my kitchen decor perfectly and I even bought a metal stand to raise it so that I can dispense water to my thermal bottle easily. It only takes 6 mins to boil 1.2L of water so it's quite fast. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.
