These are good, basic, medium-sized party hats. They are made of heavier card stock than others I've seen, and come pre-assembled, meaning interlocking tabs are attached into slots to form the cone shape, and the elastic chin straps are in place, secured in slots cut in the sides of the cones. No staples, knots, or adhesives are used, so they can be disassembled and stored flat if desired for the next occasion. Or, instead of planning to reuse them, make them into an art project for the party-goers, providing glue sticks and sequins, ribbons, markers, etc. Then let them take 'em home, maybe with candy inside.
Their best feature, in my opinion, is the array of eight vibrant, pastel colors (two of each color among the 16 hats). That may sound contradictory — "vibrant" and "pastel". They are indeed all pastel colors, but the depth of color and the glossy finish of the card stock provide more visual punch than commonly seen pastels. Very festive, and likely to fit in with nearly any party decorating scheme! The colors shown in the photos in the Amazon listing are accurate.
The only reason for the four (instead of five) star rating is the somewhat insecure assembly method of tabs into slots, and especially the elastic chin straps with the ends simple slid behind a tab with no staple or knot to keep it from pulling out. The precisely cut tabs and heavier card stock hold quite well, but one elastic strap did come loose when one of the more rambunctious partiers pulled off the birthday girl's hat, intending to let it snap back on her head. The strap pulled loose, the hat fell to the floor, the perpetrator returned to his seat, and the birthday girl scowled. Actually, that may have been a better outcome than if the strap hadn't come loose!
Overall, these are reasonably priced, very attractive party hats. Tie knots on each end of the chin straps and they're near perfect!

Got them for our dog, Daisy, birthday party at the kennel she goes to. they are just the right size and good quality.

These little party hats are cute. The colors are bright and vibrant. The elastic strings are actually comfortable to use yet strong enough to keep the hat on. They are also attached to the hat by being tied to arrow-shaped cutout in the hat, so they aren't likely to pop off. When examined closely, the tips on several of these hats were slightly wrinkled, though not terribly bad, and the reason I took away a star in the review rating. One of the best things about these hats was that they arrived completely put together, without tangled elastic, and ready to use right out of the box. They are just the right size so that they fit on the heads of both kids and adults.
These party hats make great additions to any celebration and are a good value.

Perfect for what we needed. Colors were bight and hats were perfect size

These were such a great addition to my kids combined party! I have a boy and girl and did pink and gold main theme colors with lots of colorful pops including these hats. They were so sturdy for the school aged group of 5-8 year olds! Not one tore or fell apart and these kids were playing hard and running around while wearing them! Great buy and you get a lot for the price point. No assembly required! Which was such a huge plus- I just opened and set them out! I had about 10 left and plan to use those for another party coming up!
