Carbon Nonstick is a carbon steel pan with an aluminum core. Nitrided carbon steel has been super-heated in a nitrogen-rich oven, which creates an extremely durable, corrosion-resistant, and nonstick surface without the need for coatings.
How is Carbon Nonstick nonstick without coatings?
Ceramic and nonstick (Teflon) both use a special coating, and carbon steel requires natural seasoning and builds up more and more over time.
Through a process called “nitriding,” Carbon Nonstick is fully nonstick right out of the box.
Does Carbon Nonstick contain PFAS, PFTE, or PFOA?
No, Carbon Nonstick is free of PFAS, PTFE, and PFOA.
Do I have to season Carbon Nonstick?
