This add-on camera is ONLY compatible with the Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO (5.0″ monitor). It will NOT work with the original DXR-8 (3.5″ monitor). To confirm which model you own, check the label on your parent monitor unit.

How many add-on cameras can I connect, and how do I switch between them?

Connect up to 4 cameras total to one DXR-8 PRO monitor. Press the Camera button to switch feeds, or use Scan Mode to auto-rotate between rooms.

Does this camera have the same features as the one in the DXR-8 PRO kit?

Yes — identical to the kit camera. Includes 720p HD, night vision, remote pan/tilt/zoom, room thermometer, interchangeable lens support, wall mount, and power adapter.

Should I buy this add-on or a second full DXR-8 PRO kit?

The add-on is the smarter choice for most families. Monitor multiple rooms from one parent unit. Only get a second full kit if two caregivers need to watch independently at the same time.

Is setup difficult? Does it pair automatically?

Quick and easy — takes 1 minute. On your DXR-8 PRO monitor, go to Menu → Camera Control → Add Camera. Then hold the Pair button on the new camera until the light flashes. Done.
